Join MRWC for our 2018 Watershed Council Annual Celebration!
Wren Community Hall, 35515 Kings Valley Highway (Directions here)
- 2:30 – 5:30pm Shotpouch Creek Project Tour
- 5:30 – 7:30pm Annual Celebration Gathering
Come celebrate stewardship of the Marys River Watershed, meet our new Executive Director Holly Purpura, take a tour of completed and planned projects in the Shotpouch Creek basin and enjoy live music, dinner, a brief business meeting and kindred spirits from our community at the historic Wren Community Hall! We encourage you to carpool!
Project Tour: We will meet at the Hall at 2:30pm for carpooling to the project sites. Please dress for the weather and be prepared to walk over uneven ground! We will return to the Hall for the Celebration Gathering by 5:30pm.
Celebration Gathering: Join us for hors d’oeuvres and beverages starting at 5:30, followed by a catered buffet dinner (vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options provided); no-host wine and beer available. So as to cover the costs of this event, we request a contribution of $20/person for the gathering, unless you are a student or need a little financial support, in which case we have a $5/person price. Our evening will include presentations from the Council and OSU Hydrophiles and a brief business meeting to elect new and continuing board members. We will also take this opportunity to remember and pay tribute to longtime Council friend and colleague, Jeff Mitchell.
Thank you to the OSU Hydrophiles for co-sponsoring this event and for the commitment to annual board membership representation and volunteer support for stewardship of the Marys River!
